2018 October Monthly Happy Hour Notice

Dear Alumni,

Please kindly note that there will be a happy hour gathering for Ying Wa boys and friends.

Date: 5th October 2018, Friday (6:30 pm to 10:30 pm, and beyond)
Venue: Grappa’s Cellar (Central) Basement 1, Jardine House, 1 Connaught Place, Central, Hong Kong.

Drinks arrangement: OBA Member $150 per head, Non-Member $180 per head Two drinks coupons (for house wine/beer/soft drinks with nibbles and snacks for sharing.)

We aim to provide a regular casual gathering/networking occasion for old boys of all age groups and looking forward to seeing you all on Friday evening.

「皕載三千」籌款活動

各位校友

書院的Sports Day因應颱風「山竹」的影響, 改期於9月20及24日於灣仔運動場舉行。而原定於17號初賽日上午特別舉辦「皕載三千」跑步籌款活動將改期於20號初賽日上午8:45開跑, 敬希垂注。

陳熾洪校友，1978年中七畢業，現服務於香港大學中文學院。受恩
於母校、陳校友對創校先賢以至有關教會早期歷史產生濃厚興趣。
陳校友會於本月20日晚執委會會議之後，與各位執委及與會校友分
享有關創校先賢的歷史資料及逸事。

Career Preparation Workshop by YWCOBA

To further assist our young alumni in career planning and development of required skills, YWCOBA is hosting a Career Preparation Workshop on 15 Sept 2018 (Sat). We are delighted to have YWC alumnus Jason Ma to be the speaker. Jason is the founder of a career / recruitment consulting firm. He has more than 20 years vast and in-depth HR and recruitment knowledge and on-the-ground operation experience. Please refer to the event poster for details.

OBA event report – Whisky Class – Tour of Scotland Region 15 June 2018

Great turn out at the first private joint OBA Whisky Class 🥃 in collaboration with QCOBA on 15 June. Thirty of us not only enhance our knowledge 📜 about Scotland unique whisky distill process but also learnt skills to distinguish good quality of whisky and appreciate six representable whisky from each regions of Scotland🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿.
Thanks to the Whisky Ambassador, the seminar content was well balance between fun and technical knowledge📖.

YWCOBA Financial Chapter – “Dine and Share with KC Kwan”

The very first event of YWCOBA Financial Chapter – “Dine and Share with KC Kwan” concluded in echoes of laughter and applause at Lingnan Club in Central yesterday evening. More than 90 Ying Wa alumni in the financial industry gathered and exchanged contact, seeking personal development as well as explored ways of further contributing to our alma mater and junior alumni/students. The acme of the evening is of course the sharing of our fellow alumni KC Kwan – full of insights and wisdoms into the industry as well as life.
